Did I ever tell you about the time I sent Carson to first grade wearing a red shirt on St. Patrick’s Day? Obviously I really wasn’t thinking about the day and rushed him out the door as usual. About 30 minutes later I remember what day it was and started to panic a bit.!
One of my neighbors is an aid at the school and so I ran a GREEN shirt over to her to deliver to Carson. It really wasn’t a big deal.
But the funny part of the story is that the red shirt I sent him to school in was my favorite shirt he owned. It had a graphic of a foam finger on the front of it. The finger said #1 Mom! Ha! It was a total mom fail!
Oh well, he survived. And I’ve never done that again. I mean, I did send the boys to school in that shirt cuz it’s my favorite, and I still have it! But I never did it on St. Patrick’s Day ever again!
