Don’t get me wrong candy bars are fantastic on their own, but when you turn them into Candy Stuffed Moose Balls they become completely irresistible! There’s just something about a warm roll with a chocolate or caramel surprise stuffed inside that will have you begging for more! Who knows, it might even make you wish you had tricker treated at a few more houses so you could get a little more candy to use in these!
This post is sponsored by Rhodes Frozen Dough! As always all opinions are my own! I apreciate brands that make this blog possible!
So Halloween is right around the corner and I want to know if Halloween is a yay or a nay holiday for you!
I must admit I’m in the nay camp almost all the way! Coming up with a cheap, creative costume for every member of my family is one of my most dreaded tasks. Like I said costumes have to be cheap because I’d really rather spend the money on clothes I actually plan on wearing more than once!
The decorations, pumpkin spice everything, and the candy that goes with fall…I can totally get behind that! Gimme all the fall decorations and food!
When my little goblins used to bring home a whole stash of candy (btw, at what age should a kid graduate from trick or treating?) my brain immediately starts thinking of all the fun ways I can use it up!
Today I’m going to encourage you to snatch a little candy from those Halloween bags, thaw some Rhodes Rolls out, and make Candy Stuffed Moose Balls!
Something completely magical happens when you roll a piece of candy up in a Rhodes Roll, bake it, and cover it in sugar!
Oh my goodness you guys are going to fall in love as soon as you bite into that warm, tender roll stuffed with melted caramel! I mean really…what’s not to love about that?
Let me show you how easy it is to make them!
Starting with Rhodes Rolls makes this recipe super quick and easy because all you have to do is grab a bag of Rhodes Rolls and thaw them out!
Once rolls have risen and you are ready to make Candy Stuffed Moose Balls preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Flatten each Rhodes roll.
Add a bite sized candy or caramel to the roll.
Wrap the roll around the candy, press seems closed as much as possible, then roll in your hands until it’s smooth. NOTE: Spraying your hands with nonstick baking spray helps keep the rolls from sticking to your hands.
Place rolls on greased baking sheet. Bake for 15-18 minutes.
While rolls are baking add about ½ cup powdered sugar to a gallon size sealable bag.
Add 3 cup cinnamon and sugar to another gallon size sealable bag.
As soon as rolls have finished baking melt ¼ cup butter in a microwave safe bowl. Pour butter in another gallon size sealable bag.
The rolls are going to be hot so you need to be careful when you are handling them. Remove half of the Candy Stuffed Moose Balls from the baking sheet and gently set them in the bag with butter in it. Seal bag and gently shake until all Candy Bar Bombs are coated in butter.
Remove Candy Stuffed Moose Balls from the bag with butter and add them to the cinnamon sugar bag. Seal bag and gently shake to coat all Bombs with cinnamon and sugar. Once they are coated set them on serving tray! (I dare you to to finish the whole process without sampling!)
Repeat the process with the other half of the Candy Bar Moose Balls except cover them in powdered sugar!
I’m pretty sure my family can smell fresh bread baking from a mile away and when they smell it they all stand at the kitchen door begging for just a little bit! When I make these I had all of them at the back door in a matter of minutes!
So if you want some quality me time…don’t make Candy Stuffed Moose Balls! If you want to have a party with your family, or want to bribe your teenagers to stay home for a minute…make Candy Stuffed Moose Balls!
