1small oniondiced
1whole jalapenoseed and membranes removed and diced
1Tbspchili powder
2tspcumin
1tspsmoked paprika
1tsporegano
1tspsalt
1/2tspblack pepper
2Tbspbrown sugar
Chili Topping Ideas (Optional)
shredded cheese
diced tomatoes
sliced green onions
corn or tortilla chips
sour cream
cilantro
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a slow cooker. Stir.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 5-6 hours.
Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, corn chips, and cilantro if desired.
Notes
You can use black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, or red beans instead of chili beans if needed. Drain these beans before adding to the slow cooker.Chili may be cooked in a pressure cooker. Cook on high pressure for 30 minutes, naturally release.
