Apple Cider Syrup

Apple Cider Syrup is the best cozy, cinnamon syrup for pancakes, waffles, and French Toast! This recipe is made with apple juice or apple cider.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/4 cups butter

Instructions

  • Add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch to the saucepan. Whisk together.
  • Gradually add apple cider and lemon juice.
  • Cook and whisk over medium heat until thickened to desired consistency. This will take about 5-10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter.
  • Serve warm over pancakes, waffles, French toast or ice cream.

Notes

Apple juice or apple cider may be used for this recipe.
Store leftover apple syrup in a jar, or another container for up to a week.
