Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup butter room temperature
  • 3 Tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 dash salt I like kosher salt

Instructions

  • Using a handheld mixer, mix butter until it's light and fluffy.
  • Add powdered sugar, honey, and a dash of salt (optional) and mix again until fluffy. The longer you mix the fluffier it will get. About 3-5 minutes is my sweet spot!

Notes

Salted or unsalted butter works well in this recipe. Add salt to taste, or leave it out completely if you'd like.
Optional Add-ins:
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • zest from an orange
  • 1 tablespoon raspberry jam (or other flavored jam)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Store leftover honey butter in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three months. Let the butter sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving to allow it to soften.
