Pulled Pork Pizza

Mexican Pulled Pork Pizza, or BBQ Pork Pizza is a fun new exciting way to enjoy everything you love about carnitas and pizza in the same bite! We love adding pineapple, red onions, bacon, ranch seasoning, and fresh herbs!

Ingredients

Ingredients for Pork Pizza

  • 1 cup shredded BBQ pulled pork, or pork carnitas
  • 1 12 inch flat bread pizza crust
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce or enchilada sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese grated
  • 2 Tbsp red onion diced
  • 1 Tbsp cilantro chopped

Optional Toppings of Pulled Pork Pizza

  • mushrooms sliced
  • olives sliced
  • peppers diced
  • bacon cooked and crumbed
  • ranch seasoning sprinkle over the top
  • pineapple chunks or tidbits, drained

Instructions

  • Move the oven rack to the center position. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. You can also bake this pizza in the smoker. 
  • Spread sauce over the crust. Leave about a half inch border.
  • Sprinkle grated cheese over sauce. Use plenty of cheese!
  • Add shredded pork.
  • Throw on whatever other toppings you like! This is where you get to customize your own pizza!
  • Bake for 10 minutes if the crust you are using is already cooked. For homemade crust increase baking time to 20-25 minutes.
  • Cut into slices and serve!

Notes

Of course, you can make your own homemade pizza crust! You will need to bake it a little longer than a prebaked crust.
Feel free to add whatever other toppings you love!
